If you like percussion and have never heard Mickey Hart- boy,are you in for a treat.His solo CDs have very little in common with the music he played with the Grateful Dead.He is awesome in concert with Planet Drum or other ensembles.Check out SUPRALINGUA,Planet Drum or Drumming on the Edge of Magic.He and Kreutzman also did the music for Apocalypse Now,and the sessions for this are also full of great percussion.Mickey Hart is a virtuoso,either behind a kit,or playing a wide variety of drums as he does on the CDs recommended here.Even if you're NOT a drummer,if you like to dance or listen to World Music I highly recommend him.
