That is absolutely right! Since Jesus is God (not God the Father), this would make sense. To say anything else like Jesus was an angel or just a good man or that He was created would take from the divinity and Lordship of Christ. Jesus is Almighty and eternal (the beginning and the end, the first and the last.)
