I think Nick should have been fired in the 4th episode, Ethics Shmethics. He proposed that Kwame be the project manager, but the reason was Nick was trying to get him fired for criticizing Sam. To me, that is both vindictive and evil. And in my opinion, Nick should have been fired on the spot. He would sacrifice the loss of another man for petty revenge? Please!
By the way, I still can't believe that Nick was the only one who LIKED Sam. Talk about delusional.
