I lived right near the boarder of SC just outside of Charlotte, NC. Man, SC is bad. They have some of the highest poverty rates in the country. I agree, to those people who visit and say it is one of the most beautiful states ever, well the tilted (yet still inhabited) trailors and shacks, which after you pass Rock Hill is almost all you see in the vast majority of SC, the state with the highest proportion of trailors in the country, it sort of takes away from whatever beauty you claim exists. South Carolina ranks very low on many livability issues; education, poverty, healthcare. This is deffinetly the most depressed state on the East Coast. This state is so bad, that unlike many of the other states I have given low ratings, I am not making fun of this one, I have pity for it. No lie, when you go through many parts of the carolinas, you wouldn't believe that you were in the USA, you'd think you were in some third world country or something, no exaggeration.
