Allow me to add a guy's perspective here: the Schick Tracer FX is one of the better set-ups on the market. A twin-blade system (you just don't need 14 contiguous blades to get the job done) with a center flex (so you can press harder and take REALLY big digs out of your jawline). You purchase the handle and base one time (nice quality), but where they get you is on the refills. The six-pack that clips into the underside of the base is handy, but costs close to $8.00!! Thankfully, I put off shaving as much as possible; otherwise, this product would bankrupt me in no time. As for electric razors, forget them; they just don't make one that can withstand the rigors of a guy's face. They dull easily, bog down power-wise under basic use, and are STAGGERINGLY cost-prohibitive.
