Cult classic film, based on the short story "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Phillip K. Dick, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos, M. Emmet Walsh, Daryl Hannah, William Sanderson, Brion James, Joe Turkel, Joanna Cassidy, James Hong, Morgan Paull, Kevin Thompson, John Edward Allen, Hy Pyke, Kimiko Hiroshige, Bob Okazaki, Leo Gorcey Jr., Tom Hutchinson and Judith Burnett, released in 1982.

The director's cut is particularly good. Not for the spaceship battle crowd, this is an intellectual, sombre and carefully crafted movie, dank and grim in theme and feel.

Good as it is, it is only a shadow of the story that inspired it, Philip Dick's "Do Androids dream of Electric Sheep?"
