I don't like the extremists on either side. There seem to be now, most likely because the republicans are the majority right now, a lot more extreme conservatives than extreme liberals. I WANT TO SEE A MODERATE IN THE WHITEHOUSE. Be it a moderate conservative like Guliani or McCain a moderate liberal like Edwards or Obama (that will score me some unhelpfuls, even most southern democrats don't like him). I also have to say, that at least in the area I live, conservatives are getting on my nerves with their hypocrisy. A few weeks ago, there was a gay pride parade or something like that, and they put up three statues that represented homosexuality or something (all they really were were the gender signs, the circle with the x, and the circle with the arrow). Conservatives were outraged by it and claimed that it was inappropriate. I wasn't in the parade, didn't go to the parade, but the parade didn't bother me either. The statues didn't hurt anybody, unless the crane squished an innocent bystander downtown. But they were supposedly immoral to conservatives. ON THE OTHER HAND, many conservatives are also pushing to build a casino, A CASINO, downtown. They want to build something that will cause crime rates to rise undoubtedly, and where gambling would be taking place. That doesn't sound like being conservative to me. I am strongly against the casino, and I just find it odd that people that claim to support so many morals and good family values, want to build a casino downtown. Doesn't make much sense.
