Rick Martel was awesome. His first notable break came in the Pacific Northwest with Roddy Piper as his partner. Afterwards he had a great run with Tony Garea in the WWF as tag team champions and then he became a top singles wrestler in the AWA ultimately winning the title in an era when the AWA was still an important organization. His Model gimmick in the WWF later on may be rightly criticized but at the same time he played the goofy role well and was a great heel. He kind of redeemed himself in the WCW with great matches against Booker T before getting injured.
