Used to work for Nixon, but better known as a game show host. The show was actually pretty good, but I don't think it airs anymore, except in re-runs. Despite his erudition and intelligence, however, he seems perfectly willing to accept Republican bulls*t with the same alacrity as an Ann Coulter or a Sean Hannity. Also supposed to be a comedic character actor, but his shtick, which was never really funny to begin with, wears thin really quick. Basically, said shtick consists of droning on in a dreary monotone no matter the provocation. Also does commercials for eyewash (sort of appropriate in an ironic kind of way). Occasionally, he'll come out with some topical political commentary, but it's never anything more than typical Republican obfuscation.
