Electrolux / Aerus Lux Legacy 1

i have never been so ripped off. lied to. they wanted $1600 and my vaccum, they gave it to me for $1200. store in Torrance, CA, on Hawthorne Blvd.but who's the fool ? i just think people need to look at today's Electrolux/Aerus vs what they remember. Esp. the AERUS Electorlux in comparison to price and value. it's not your grandmother's Electrolux, she couldn't have afforded it, and she was too smart a cookie ! this Aerus is something new, and independent stores, sales people come & go and lie. they are LLC's (limited liability companies-so you can't really go after them) so they are fearless. I am sorry you feel the way you do, but I would like to respond to some accusations you have made. The first being a comment that the vacuums are now more expensive than they used to be and your grandmother not being able to afford one. Well, that is only partly true. Everything is more expensive than it used to be. In order to be fair you must take in consideration that $300 (the average price for an Electrolux back then) in the 1970's was a lot more money than $1,200 today. The average disposable cleaner now days sells for approximately $300-400 and have an average life of less than 3 years. This breaks down to about $100/year. The Aerus-Electrolux Vacuum you purchased has a 10 year warranty on the motors and an average life of 20 years. This breaks down to $60/year. Not only is it a better investment, but also a better cleaner. The second issue you brought up is "sales people come & go and lie" You never mentioned what you were lied to about and what was it about the vacuum that you did not like. It sounds like you got a great unit and at a good price. As far as our staff goes, let me share some information with you. The Torrance store has 3 full time sales people and several part timers. All 3 sales people have worked in that office for over 6 years. Our oldest took over servicing his fathers customers when his father passed away that has worked with us since 1946! Our service technician has been with us for 10 years. All of these people are decent people with families like yourself and pride themselves with taking care of their customers. I believe we are one of the few companies that still come out to the home for free. That means if your cleaner need service we pick up and deliver back for free. Provide you with a loaner if you need a unit to use. We also deliver supplies for FREE! Try getting your local Hoover or Eureka dealer to come over and drop off a pack of bags and not charge you a delivery fee. As far as us being an LLC and "fearless". Most of todays companies are LLC's, but that does not mean we are "fearless". Our location has been in the area for over 40 years. I personally started there at the age of 21 and have worked there for 17 years! We are on of the top locations in the company and have the best reputation for customer service in the entire company! We go out of the way to take care of our customers, but with over 50,000 customers in the area it seems that we were not able to make everyone satisfied. I hope that after many years of using your product you change your mind about it being a bad deal and I also hope that you do not put ALL sales people in the same group. Most are good people that work hard to provide for their families and take care of their customers. I would also like to inform you that we will be more than happy to take care of your needs in service and supplies when the time comes. Hopefully with great service you will realize how good of a value this cleaner really is.

geez, it took you 2 years to find and respond ? i repeat, i was treated very rudely, enuf so that i still remember it. you had a "salesperson" standing outside Pavillion's on Anza. she approached me offering one room free carpet wash. THAT never happened, instead, I was fool enuf to fall for the HARD SELL, and spent that kind of money, i don't care what decade it is. you thru me out of your store, for disagreeing with you. and, i contacted the salesperson later, she had nothing but bad things to say about your whole operation. apparently you had recently let her go, so she was candid, if not i'm sure "tainted". the truth hurts, but you can bear up to it, you were rude enuf to me....so much so that i remember it. your product may last 100 yrs, it will never change the impression you made on me.
