RICO statutes are great to catch mobsters- but don't use them against terrorists! My favorite liberal position on the Patriot Act is that it's destroying democracy. But it was passed by both a democractically elected House, Senate and President! Ahhh facts be damned! It's a loss of freedom. Oh really? Have you been directly effected by the adroitly crafted RICO statutes? Have you been directly effected by the Patriot statutes that necessitate warrants for the increased surveilance? No of course not! But Bush is president and the libs need something to hate him for.
