The roots of the Twins franchise date back to 1901 when it was called the Washington Nationals. They changed the team name to the Senators in 1957 before moving to Minnesota in 1961. The franchise has won three World Series championships, most recently in 1991. An AL Central team, the Twins play their home games at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN. Members of the franchise in the National Baseball Hall of Fame include Rod Carew and Harmen Killebrew.
