Jeep Grand Cherokee 5

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace a radiator for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee?

OK.. I have a 98 V-8 Gran Cherokee. I took it in to have the radiator looked at as I boiled out the anti-freeze. This is because I had no water in it so they said or little water? Anyway, In draining the radiator (and they did not test the radiator before draining we don't know if it had 50-50% anti freeze or not) .. In doing so (draining) the plastic drain valve turned open but could not be closed. It seems as that the Jeep has two type of radiators. one is made of metal and the other is made of plastic.. These plastic valves on radiators seem to break after 10 years as once you open to drain they refuse to close completely??.. The mechanic showed me the problem too. So a plastic one in Alaska costs 235 dollars and then 125$ to install or else the good metal one runs some 330$.
Other than this with 34K miles the Jeep has been great in summer and winter. Pulls my boat or ATV's like at 70 mph.. No complaints except the mechanics are very exoensive around here. Also, it is tuff to change the oil etc... Hard for me to get in and can twist my back one more time I will sell it.... But a real tuff car so far.... Snowbirds...
