Everybody thinks they know what they're talking about. How many of you idiots that have commented on the Air Force, have ever been in the Air Force? Somebody told you something or you heard something on TV or from a friend who is in another branch. The people that talk this way are usually trying to make up for an inferiority complex, trust me. The AF actually has very strict physical requirements. It has not always been that way, but it certainly is now. On top of having to meet these physical requirements, they hold no weight on your promotions process. I cant tell you how many times I wished I could just do a bunch of push ups and sit ups to assist me in making the next rank. I've also read comments about the bases and dorms. I lived in a dorm for three years with no Air Conditioning and warm showers maybe twice a week. Let me also say that there was an adjacent Army base to my AF base. This army base was inactive with VERY few people actually stationed there about 1/10th of the amount that were stationed on my base. The Army base had all of the same recreational facilities as the AF base, plus an indoor pool, larger gym, and a bowling alley. If you are reading these messages, unless you actually know something rather than THINK you know something, I would suggest you just read rather than talk. too bad its too late for the ones who have already added their two cents.
