His biography, by David McCullough, should be required reading for every high school student in America, and for every immigrant wishing to be naturalized. Americans should know the attributes, both positive and negative, of what we call today, the Founding Fathers. Very complex man, blessed with good fortune and cursed by betrayal, his own mis-judgments and odd happenstance. Far from perfect, as all men should be portrayed by history, but brilliantly brave, stubborn and idealistic.
