I'm all for cheaper/cleaner fuel, and disagree completely with the previous two posters. I think that consumer demand could cause companies to start producing better vehicles, if we could only get consumers to demand them. I also don't think that the Alaskan reserve would solve the problem for all that long, given the ever-increasing rate at which oil is being consumed. You can't forget that as third world countries start to catch up, they will also demand and consume more fuel.
