Betty was sweet and kind, granted, but I always liked Veronica more. She was sexy, strong and savvy with great fashion sense, and doesn't fawn over the undeserving Archie the way Betty does. I always felt her character had more depth than Betty, who always seemed to be a bit of a one-dimensional, perfect subservient-American-housewife type of girl. She always seemed weak to me. Although I must say both of them deserve better than Archie Andrews!
Someone recently compared them to Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. Although both of them have slightly different characters, I think the overall impression of this comparision is actually pretty accurate. Sweet VS Sexy. This time, sexy wins hands down for me, even though I do love Betty.
