That is another common sense thing to do. Lieing to the boss will only weaken them and could get you into trouble. Lieing just puts people into a false sense of security therefore the candidate may do something that they shouldn't or do something that gets them into trouble, just because their campaigner was a yes man. It is just a fandamental rule not to lie to another person.
