Comparing Townshend solo stuff to Mellencamp - I can go through song by song - I would rather hear Townshend's "Let My Love Open the Door" over Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane", Townshend's "Rough Boys" over Mellencamp's "Scarecrow", Townshend's "Slit Skirts" over Mellencamp's "Paper and Fire", etc. ---In Response to Wiseguy19 above --- Townshend, of course, has a lot more than 4 songs as you look through some of the other comments you'll see that. Even with the 2 CD's - they still didn't get all of his best - one of my fave's missing is "Face Dance, part 2" from "Chinese Eyes". To each his own obviously, but I'd rather hear a Townshend "best-of" than a Mellencamp "best-of".
