This came out in the mid-1950's and was on the Sun label. Looking back over fifty years, I conclude that this was the first real exposure that most people had to Johnny Cash.
Radio in those days was hit and miss. If you lived in a big city, you probably had more choices, but for the rest of the USA, you took what you got. Johnny cracked the pop chart with this song, the stations played it, and it has such a hook in it that you shall remember it all the days of your life.
