Located in the northeastern United States, Maine covers approximately 30,995 sq. miles. Maine is nicknamed the "Pine Tree State" after the white pine trees found in Maine's 17 million acres of forest. Maine is a large producer of paper products, seafood and blueberries. The capital of Maine is Augusta.

Maine 1

Cold, nothing to do. Full of regressive people. Not enough influence on the Bible and not enough churches. Needs more Southern values for me to even consider this cold country.

Maine respects everyone in ways you evidently do not see. There is a strong religious community which on the whole is tolerant of others. The educational system is excellent and there are many opportunities to enjoy the arts. Communities are self sufficient and one has the opportunity to know their elected officials.
