The author is a self-professed witch, and I don't like that. Also, the books are too dark, and in the last few there seems to be increased vulgarity and sexuality for "kids" books. I admit, there is a certain lure to it, but for me, the tone of the books and the inclusion of adult material in what is supposed to be kids books means that I don't read HP any more.

You say Witch like it's a bad thing. Do you even know what the word Witch means? It means "Wise One". And you'd do well to show a little respect to the people who brought you the knowledge of natural healing. Rowling has the right to write about her beliefs. And as far as the "vulgarity" and "sexuality" goes - there's far worse things on t.v. everyday, do you let your kids watch t.v.??? Do you watch shows like CSI when they are around??? A fantasy novel isn't going to corrupt your kids. Come on. Stop blaming your fears on an author. Wiccan's are amazing people. You may even be friends with them or know them and you don't even know it.
