Born in 1975, Allen Iverson was selected out of Georgetown University by the Philadelphia 76ers with the first overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. Iverson's play during his first season earned him Rookie of the Year honors, and the 6-0 guard led the NBA in scoring in 1998-99, averaging 26.8 PPG. He was voted to the All-NBA First Team in 1998-99 and the All-NBA Second Team in 1999-00.

I am a huge sixers fan and I dont see how ANYBODY could talk bad about Allen Iverson, he takes it to the hole and gets beat up constantly, he fights through injuries, and he is one of the greatest players of all time. He deserves more recognition then he gets and he should be ranked in the top 30 of the best NBA players ever
