The funniest example of this was a sales guy who trapped our single, young, angelic, blonde secretary in the ladies room, (yes, the ladies room at the office Christmas party) informing her that she needed to make good on her constant flirtatious behavior. I guess you might guess that someone walked into the ladies room a minute or two later (fortunately for Erin, another female) and shouted, "what the hell are you doing in here?!!! "
I, of course, missed this Christmas Party (JEEZ!) but I heard all (and I mean ALL) about it the following week. His live-in girlfriend didn't believe it for a long time. The exaggerations of the events and statements were the funniest part of the story, and his apology to Erin (necessarily made publicly) was an absolute scream. And you wonder why companies have curtailed the sharing of the Christmas cheer.
