Roni Clayton

I want to start out by saying I absolutely love the Food TV channel, but I have an observation that I must share. Two of my favorite Food TV celebrities are Rachel Ray and Giada De Laurentiis. They are both beautiful and talented women. What I don't understand is that in the last year -- and I believe Giada De Laurentiis started the trend -- we are seeing more cleavage than on night-time TV. After De Laurentiis started showing cleavage, Rachel Ray followed suit. I find it inappropriate and offensive. I am a white female, married 40 years, with grown daughters. I am not a prude, I enjoy seeing beautiful women and point out their beauty to my husband. I just don't like these programs trying to boost their ratings with sex. There is no question that the camera focuses in every time one of these celebrities bends over to get something under the counter or puts something in the oven. As far as I am concerned, it adds nothing to the show and offends women in general (I have asked). Is this to capture the male audience? Please let the producers and celebrities of these shows know that a dedicated fan (and there are probably many of us) is tired of the focus being on the celebrities' breasts instead of the chicken's. I agree with Roni, I find the cleavage very offensive, that is not needed when someone is cooking. It also offends my husband!
