Born in 1977, Vince Carter was selected out of North Carolina by the Golden State Warriors as the fifth overall pick of the 1998 NBA Draft. I really enjoy watching him dunk on people, but his game is erratic at times, his defense is suspect and his mid-range shot is not very good. He is the type of player that might get more credit than he deserves because so many of his plays make the highlight reel. I think you might make the argument that he is not even the best player on his own team.
