After trying to breastfeed my 2nd son for 3 weeks, he developed colic. I was going to formula feed after two months anyway and knew exactly that I was going to use Nutramigen. My sister fed two beautiful girls with it who struggled with feeding issues, and milk allergies seem to be a habitual problem with my family. The smell and taste are different than other formulas, but I noticed a difference with my son after the first feeding. He was relaxed, content, and not struggling through the feeding. During the first month we used the liquid concentrate with distilled or nursery water (important). Unlike milk based formula, Nutramigen does not bubble when shaken, thus we found that burping our child was easier. Is he healthy now after a month of use? Yes! He went from 8 lbs 4 oz. to 10 lbs. 15 oz. and thrives. Is the price worth it? Absolutely! A happy baby and my ability to sleep is worth the difference in price.
