Monty Python's Flying Circus 4

Life of Brian is one of the best dark comedies written - next to Dr. Strangelove.

You might recall Stanley Kubrick's 'Lolita' (1962) and also Terry Southern's and Christopher Isherwood's zany adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's 'The Loved One,' 1965, about the undertaking business in California. Directed by Tony Richardson (also of 'Tom Jones,' 1963 and 'The Hotel New Hampshire,' 1974), cannot say how much more memorable to others and certainly flawed (studio editing?), but I like to think that the characters portrayed by Rod Steiger ('Mr. Joyboy' the funeral parlor artist?), Liberace, Jonathan Winters, Milton Berle and Paul Williams were collectively catalyst to Python's shenannigans as much. Anjanette Comer's character's name: Aimee Thanatogenous!
