Given the choices here, I will give the RIA old-timers who know me best about three nanoseconds to guess - yep, you're right, Italian. However, I have to say that I have had some exquisite Chinese meals (there used to be a restaurant in DC - not sure if it's still there - that was actually run by the PRC government, and boy was the food outstanding there). I'm not sure what generic Mediterranean food is supposed to mean, but I can take Greek and Spanish easily (best roast wild boar I ever had was at a hole-in-the-wall taverna in Athens, and the second best filet mignon was in Madrid - the best filet mignon was at a Spanish restaurant in Pittsburgh). Three-way tie on my list for French, Indian, and Japanese - all in the so-so category, but OK on occasion.
