Well, I hate to report that you would be wrong in assuming you would not head for trial with a defendant insured by Geico. Here's just a little of my true-life experience with Geico. In May of 2005 my vehicle was plowed into from behind by a driver insured by Geico. That accident resulted in a hospitilization for me and totaled both vehicles (his on scene and mine thru repair costs). It is Geico's position that my vehicle was no more than bumped by his! I am a 48 year old female, am employed as a dispatcher (law enforcement and emergency services)and if I had a job with physical requirements I would be out of work, as well as without a vehicle, also. I have been left with myofascial cervical and thoracic injury, myofascial headaches and bi-lateral shoulder pain (25 years ago I sprained my lower back, and Geico is making that the issue, altho my lower back has never been a complaint or even mentioned in this accident). The only thing I asked of Geico was to pay the medical bills and the replacement cost of my vehicle. I don't think that is too much to ask. Of,course, they have denied me! For months I was be-litted and accused of causing my own medical condition by a Geico claims adjuster while they asked for a recieved all information regarding my life and medical history, even my tax returns! Well, I was finally forced, by Geico, to consult and attorney, and, you guessed it, we are headed for court. to add insult to injury, literally, I am a Geico policy holder!
