There's a certain attittude, machismo, that goes with being in the military. It's more than just suiting up and serving your country - military personnel represent America. Gays and homosexuality throughout the world is generally looked down upon. Openly gay military personnel I think hurts morale and self-esteem. It should'nt matter , but it does. No one really feels comfortable with openly gay people in the military. Frag the F*g ? You betcha that will happen.
