People who drive around barriers and try to cross flooded streets

After a big rain, streets often become flooded and people think they can drive through the flooded areas.

As someone who is planning to go into the TV weather business, I have to say that I've heard a hundred times during severe weather coverage, "If you can't judge the depth of water, DON'T drive into it." It's very simple. Also, if it's raining extremely hard--take the advice of meterologists and PULL over. I've heard of an actual story of someone simply driving around a barrier, getting trapped under an overpass and complaning that the sign wasn't big enough or something along those lines. BUT, perhaps they were trying to rescue someone else--if that's the case, then I can certaintly forgive them.
