This is going to be what finishes me off. If I were to look at my health like a building I would see that stress, in addition to being bad for me, is the foundation upon which most of my unhealthy habits are built. I eat garbage and I do it too quickly. Why? I'm under a lot of pressure to produce and produce quickly, consequently, this creates available time. It's a practice I picked up in grad school. It is also the reason I caffeine load. I originally began to take diet pills and No Doz to "create time" (which is at a premium in law school). Then, as I got older, the quality of caffeine and stimulants began to get better. And I noticed, as I tried the various offerings that have appeared on the marketplace during my post-college life, that they lit me up like a Xmas tree - I got hooked "on the first hits".
Now, as a matter of course, even on days off, I consume an inordinant number of stimulants (all legal).
Heaven help me if I ever got my hands on real street level crank. I'd be dead in a month but damn if I wouldn't churn out a lot of motions, responses and discovery.
