I served in the United States Navy and I would do it 100 times out of 100 times.
I met many friends that I still keep in touch with,I also met my Beautiful wife who served as well.
I had my most fun believe it or not in boot camp at Great Lakes,I served on the best Destroyer in the fleet USS CARON DD-970 and got a taste of the Shipyards while my second command the USS GUAM LPH-9 was being overhauled.
Would have done twenty no problem except I recieved injuries in the commission of active duty while out at sea that led to a medical discharge.
To me there was nothing more exhilerating than riding the waves on a powerful warship arm to the teeth!
By the way the Marines are part of the Navy notice the Anchor in their emblem.
