Cars exploit dead animals

Drummond

Substances like anti-freeze, bio-diesel fuel, hydraulic brake fluid, and asphalt binder are all made with ingredients culled from the carcasses of departed animals. And hey, even regular fuel comes from dead animals. Okay, so they died millions of years ago. Updating: The jury's still out on that theory Stark Truth. It's an interesting one, but there are plenty of problems with it. One problem is that oils contain very specific molecules (referred to as "biomarkers") found in life forms corresponding to the time/depth of the locations of the oil, and the inorganic advocates have yet to explain the correllations away. It is still a minority of biologists and geologists who believe that oil comes from magma/mantle. And those pushing it seem to have an agenda, the timing very suspicious as the peek oil theories have been surfacing even within the oil industry as so many wells now have to be pumped with water to produce oil. I'm not taking a position, but if you google the issue, you'll find that there's an agenda fueling the theory that seems to extend well beyond mere science. Wikipedia does a pretty good job of summarizing the debate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenic_oil http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_biogenic_petroleum_theory
