You are most likely referring to a refusal to participate in the Eucharist, which is entirely understandable given the difference between the Catholic and Protestant definitions of the Eucharist. If it was anything else, I would be quite interested to know why. I simply cannot imagine a Chaplain of any denomination refusing to minister to you. For example, I was married by a Southern Baptist USAF Chaplain. Again, I would be very interested in a description of the events leading up to this refusal.
