Who knows how Kerry would have turned out. Chances are, given the positions he took during the campaign, he might have actually escalated the war in Iraq, thus entrenching insurgent warfare while further destabilizing the region. Domestically, he might have done somewhat better, but I wouldn't have held out so much hope for him. Even though I voted for him, I didn't consider him an ideal choice.
