yeah, but the thing is that it seems to me that it takes only about an inch or two of snow to really shut down the highways in the south. people just panic at the sight of some ice, plus snow removal crews are also a rareity in states like georgia or alabama, thus creating a mess. in comparable situations in cold states, an inch or two would be an afterthought.
