Rainbow Cleaning Systems

I just had a demo and the salesman drew water from the rainbow into a 2 month old Hoover ruining the HEPA filter. The demo he did could also be done with most any vaccum. Consumer's report rates the machine the worst of the canisters. I got prices off this site, Consumer's Report, and a local vacuum sales office and it was $500 less than what they wanted to sell it for. They don't sell the carpet wand with the machine, but you get it free for trading in your old machine. Like buying a car without tires. The carpet cleaner is primitive and they want $500 for it, or four referrals. Too many gimicks to buy the machine although it is impressive. Would not use some of the features so did not buy, as did not think the price was worth it. The salesman first said the warranty was 20 years, then corrected himself by saying 4 years "bumper to bumper," eight years on the motor with another eight years if replaced, and 20 years free labor. Compare to a Kirby for a simlar price and they have a lifetime warranty. The machine also has two filters, not just the water filter. They talk about bacteria in a regular vacuum, but be careful as water will breed bacteria fast, so make sure you always empty the water and not leave in the machine. Check things out before you buy. For the right price and if you use most of the features it is probably a good product.
