Miami-2 stars. beautiful beach, crystal clear water, city is infested with drug pushers and violent criminals and residents are often rude.
Tampa/southern Gulf coast- 4 stars. Nice beaches here if you prefer to relax although there are few if any waves. Populated largely by midwesterners.
Panhandle- 5 stars. Very friendly people, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Just watch out for the hurricanes.
