I dont think that anyone can blame the Word of Faith or any other preachers that subscribe to tithing (ie go back under the Law.) The Book of ACts itself show the EArly church compelling the Gentile believers to go back under the Law.

James in Acts 15 states to Paul & Banabas? that the Gentile believers at Antiochshould not be circumcised under the LAw of Moses BUT should abstain from meats strangled/blood ( O/T food laws!) ALL THIS AFTER the Lord had told Peter (ACTS10 )in a vision that what he had called cleaned no one can call unclean.

Why did the Elders compell the Gentiles to go back under the Law.? And by Galatians had Peter spoke up ?

Under the new covenant, as Christians we are to use the entire Bible and not just the New Testament. Yes, the new Testament provides us with God's promises but we cannot ignore what the Old Testament says. Are you telling me that God does not take care of you if you pay your tithe on a consistent basis? What essentially you are saying is that we should ignore the first half of the Bible because it is law. The devil is a liar. So I should not study Genesis and/or Ezekiel. What you are saying is that preachers shouldn't preach from the OT because its law. The devil is a liar.

I don't actually believe that they are under the law anymore. Tithing is after the order of Melchesedec, Father Abraham tithed to Him. Melchesedec was also called after the Order of the Son of God in some circles. Hebrews tells us that Jesus was after the Order of Melchesedec. Tithing is by love and not by commandment. I don't think that one should ignore the LAW of MOses.. Jesus said that the pharasees should have tithed as well as shown justice and mercy. Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the Law being made a curse for us.
