The 70's seemed to be the decade for science-fiction dramas, and "The Incredible Hulk" was one of the later ones. As some prior comments noted, this series was very similar to "The Fugitive", with Banner (Bill Bixby) running from town to town in order to avoid his nemesis (Jack Colvin) and to find a cure for his strange affliction. Obviously the target audience was families with young boys, and there certainly is a place for such shows. As a bonus, the closing mood and music added a touch of melancholy and sophistication absent from other similar series.
