One of the best ever! I could go on about his roles, quality perfomances... but the last thing I remember is an appearance on the The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He read a poem that he wrote after his dog died. Very moving, bittersweet and the audience along with Johnny - was clearly moved as well. The poem was no major work of art, but the emotion and sincerity couldn't be missed.
