Ive not personally but it is a popular thing to do. There is a whole litter of Australian Shepherds out of California (they are older now but most were CH) named after talk show hosts...they had Oprah Winfry, Jerry Springer, Montel Williams, Sally Jesse Raphial, etc.
I have named a couple of mine after top show horses...and do have a little terrier mix (feist maybe) named Ikkus after one of the monsters in the cartoon "Aah, real monsters". My ex named him though I must admit, it fits him!
