John MacArthur 1

MacArthur is a Calvinist which means God only chooses certain people to be saved and they are going to be saved no matter what, it's all automatic. Salvation is not offered to all,people going to hell also have no choice in the matter it's all automatic! John Calvin believed God did not give humans freedom of choice when it comes to salvation,it's all fixed,predetermined by God.

You should read Romans Chapter 9. There is evidence that God has sovereign choice over whom He saves. Why did He choose Jacob over Essau before they were born? They didn't have any choice in the matter, yet He already knew who He chose. Rom 9:14-20 replys to your statement. Verse 11 plainly speaks of election. Jesus Christ ransomed His life for many. Matt 22:1-14 also sums it up about the Heavenly invitation. "For many are called, but few are chosen." Just some insight you may want to read up on. Calvin wasn't perfect, nor were all of his ideas. But predestination and election is biblical doctrine, repeated throughout the bible. God already knows who will come to Him and who will not. He is the almighty creator and has complete sovereignity over everything. He is the one who turns our hearts to Him. We can not take the credit for it, it would be selfish to do so. For the Glory of His name! Maureen.
