Um, who doesn't lie and mislead the American people? I'm lied to about everything from politics to what movies I should see. Lying is apparently part of the American way now.

11/09/2006		Lying has always been a part of the American way.. especially when it comes to politics. Still, your point is well-taken. It is now obviously acceptable to lie through one's teeth and then simply deny the lie or say that the media quoted one "in the wrong context" etc. etc. etc. The guilty know that their whopper will simply become lost in the barrage of sound bites in that evenings glut of news.
