Blues From An Aeroplane-Jefferson Airplane

Track from their first album in '66.

4.5, my favorite song from their first album, kind of sounded like a more sinister, and better, Mamas and The Papas track. It was written by Marty Balin and the late, great Skip Spence who soon went on to form the excellent Moby Grape as a guitarist/ singer, though on the 1st album by this band he was their drummer and co wrote a few tunes. Balin was one of the best singers to come out of the S.F.scene and Jack Cassady is simply one of the greatest bass players in the entire history of rock music, and his bass work on this rather ominous cut was outstanding.
