One of those topics which are touchy. I believe, most who have been severely abused prefer not to talk about it. I've been in two different abusive relationships. I don't think it's uncommon, and, that means for men too. I think I mentioned in a post awhile back, I knew a man who actually took abuse from his wife for years before he divorced her and found someone nice to spend his life with. I volunteer for WIC sometimes and am always amazed at how much a person will keep to themself under very stressful situations like this. For the most part, they will only share the imediate reason they are there and leave out everything that led up to the crisis.
