Browning Gold

Sorry guys!
What you have been saying about this gun being prone to jamming is not possible. A gun that new with few firings through it cannot have the problems you guys speak of. No engineering on earth with the guality control measures today could be responsible for such situations. This is especially directed to the idiot that purchased two golds in 2 different gauges and claims both do not work. DO YOU THINK THAT IS POSSIBLE. Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen!!!!! Understand the mechanical principles involved in the gas operation of your firearms. Some members hit it right on the head.
Here is the f....ing problem. The gun must have all factory grease removed with a degreaser. mag tube, piston, bolt, action, and recoil spring if necessary......Then applying a light synthetic oil that drys to the touch or dry lubricant(especially the mag. tube and piston)...Understand! Now, the piston will move freely with enough force to recoil the bolt for cycling. This is even more important when hunting in the pouring rain or cold.....Why? because cheap oil applied heavily thickens in the cold causing the piston and rod to move slower along the tube. The rain causes another problem........ the carbon, although very little in the golds design mixes with the water and becomes thicker which could slow the piston down.......If you use little lube....syn. CLP by remington or wonderlube dry lubricant the rain and cold have little effect on the golds operation.........
Also, gas operation has limitations. This gun, a marvel of simple engineering stretches that limition to its extreme. 3 inch golds owners....do not shoot less than 3 dram loads......you want to shoot less for clays get the lighter piston........ the 3.5 inch gold owners......... you cannot shoot the as low as the 3 inch... because you have to cycle 3.5 inch shell........ You think this happens magically. You want the extra horsepower, you got it.
