I'm rating it a 3 because I really couldn't give you too many pros and cons, but I did want to comment on something that was said earlier.

Travelsomeday:
Almost every state has it's areas similar to your description of the state. Every state has is racist crowd, it's rude everday person. I don't think it fair that you base your opinion of the entire state, on the people you happen to have met while living there.

My uncle lives in Tenn. as well, and I am to be moving there within the next couple of years with my family. They have never had the issues that you have with the people, and the scenery is breathtaking according to my uncle on the area that HE lives. I'll agree that places LIKE the one you mention, would get a low rating as I cannot tolerate ignorance (and racism qualifies), but I doubt the entire populace of the state is of such low quality.
